2000-11-30 - 17:07:44 our lives online your dad and i spend inordinate amounts of time on the internet. sometimes we surf. but other times it's for work. but sometimes we just need our fix. we have many friends online. your dad is an admin for civicperformance.com and pals around with some of the guys there. Did I tell you he loves cars? He may write to you one day about them here--I had him read to you about Honda's CART racing successes last week. as for myself, i've managed to meet some wonderful women through the internet that have become an amazing support system for me throughout this past year. their names are Rellah, Arwen, Ari, Ruby, Pixie, Wenchie, Celeber, Drama, Boardie, Willow, and Raga. you also have an "uncle," Lipstickboy. we all pretty much met on the boards at ChickClick when it was EstroNet, and got "Estro-Married," which is when board posters like each other enough to proclaim their undying love! It was a blast! Anyway, some days I would not survive without their e-mails, hugs, encouragement. they have been thinking about you and sending you happy vibes. I'm not going to pretend like there isn't bad stuff on the internet. there's a lot of crap out there and bad people. don't ever go meet someone IRL that you met in a chat room. they may represent themselves to be someone totally different than what they really are. and go in big groups if you can. but i think that the internet is really a great place, and hopefully we'll have a broadband connection when you come around... love you, mom
